You all know by reading this post and this post, how badly I wanted to own a pair of Isabel Marant 'Forbes' boots. But, it wasn't written in the stars for me to have them. Luckily a few years back, I had purchased a similar style knee high boot as below.
Suede, beige/grey colour, cowboy style. Very much the criteria of the 'Forbes' boot. Since I was not wearing these boots anymore and I also remember that the last time I wore them I had scrunched them down, I figured I'd have them cut into the length and shape of the 'Forbes'. Shoemaker to the rescue...
YEAH!!!! The feeling I got when I put them on for the first time was better than the feeling I've been having knowing that Jersey Shore will be premiering tomorrow. FIST PUMP EVERYONE!!!

They look great! I have a pair of boot that I want to customize, you didn't pictures of the DIY?
^^
@ Butterfly in Rouge: I have no pics of the DIY because it was the shoemaker that did it. I just brought him the original boots with the Isabel Marant 'Forbes' boots picture and he took care of it.

wow, actually i like them a bit more than the "originals" because they're slightly taller- so they look even better!
how much did it cost? if you still need a dupe, check Aldo Qualheim & Steve Madden pembrook!!! I bought the aldo ones a week ago and it's so pretty. =)
@ Angel: To get the boots shortened cost me $40. Well worth every penny. I love them!! I saw the Aldo ones but they came in stores after I transformed my boots. I love Aldo shoes but they are always late on the trending items. I find anyway.

wow $40!? i've been contemplating on doing that but never actually did it bc all the cobblers near my area charge so much. And yes you're right, it took a while for a good knockoff to come by. I was going crazy searching endlessly for a decent priced dupe but it was worth the wait, specially bc I got a discount. LOL!
amazing!! loved the glitter dress for the gay wedding too! loooooooooooove!
