I love the ever so popular fish tail skirt and thought to myself "how difficult could it be to DIY one of my current skirts into one?" Easier than I could've imagined. I had this maxi skirt in my closet and found that I hadn't worn it in quite a bit of time therefore this was the perfect candidate for my little project.
I folded the skirt side over side, the way you would fold a pair of trousers. (Not with the front on top of the back.) I then cut an arch from where the front of the skirt would be towards the side seam. You can play around with the size of the arch depending on how mini or midi you want the front of the skirt to be. Et voila! Also don't forget to sew the hem of the skirt in order to avoid the fabric from fraying.
Love my new skirt!

The skirt looks great on you, if mine weren't so short and stumpy I might get away with something like it!

You look fab!
love the fishtail skirt on you! I was kinda iffy on the "mullet skirt" but "fishtail" sounds way more appealing! love it <3
Could you do a DIY tutorial on youtube because I would love to try this without ruining the skirt.
