i've had it

11.05.2010

It's beginning to get really cold outside and it's practically raining everyday. Outdoor shots are starting to become nearly impossible.
Does anyone have any tips for me on taking great pictures indoors because as you can see from below pics, my indoor pictures suck the bag!! I've had it with inside pictures. My camera is a Nikon D3000 and I have a 18-55mm lens as well as a 55-200mm lens. What am I missing to get better quality interior pics?

blazer: Ralph Lauren
knit sweater: Joe Fresh
denim leggings: H&M
Boots: X2B
leopard scarf: Ardene
bag: Ardene

I think your best bet at getting good indoor quality pictures with your current dSLR is to get a fixed focus prime lens.

They don't have a zoom, but they have large apertures to let in a lot of light and are pretty good for indoor photography.

Since you have a D3000, a AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G is probably your best bet =)

I find indoor shots, by a window help to simulate the outdoor feel; or if you in the market to purchase Adobe lightroom or Photoshop can work wonders!

I completely understand the indoor pictures problem. I was just saying to my husband the other day, "where are we going to take pictures when its snowing and freezing?". I am afraid I do not have answer for this problem yet.
