debut

10.17.2010

A while back, I mentioned that I was having trouble finding a dress for the gazillion weddings I had this year. Therefore to make my life easier, I decided to make a dress. 1. It'll be a one of kind. 2. It'll fit like a glove. 3. I'll get exactly what I want.

It took one month to make due to my busy schedule however the creation is finally complete and I love every inch of this masterpiece. I wore it yesterday to a wedding and got nothing but compliments all evening. I have no one to thank for this but my mom. All I did was choose the fabrics and design the dress but the mastermind behind all the sewing is her. She's amazing!!! I can't wait to start working on more pieces.
I swear, I fall more in love with my husband every time I look at him. What handsome fella!!

Old Aldo shoes which I spiced up by adding bows to the back.

dress: my own creation / clutch & pearl ring: ardene / shoes: Aldo (I added the bows)

And I thought I should mention that your husband resembles Wentworth Miller! You sure know how to pick em!

Love that dress! What is the brand and pattern number? And love the fit of your hubby's suit! What brand is it or where did he get it? You guys are a great looking couple!

Lena Antonacci said...

@ .reese.: We used two patterns to make my dress. Vogue DKNY #V1074 & McCalls #M5979. My husband's suit was tailor made here in Montreal.
Thanks :)
