It feels great to dress up once in a while. My staple outfit nowadays has been sweat pants, tank tops, and sweatshirts. Why dress up when you're just gonna get spit up on you anyway? And the only time I've been leaving the house is to go to the gym, and that just brings us back to sweat pants, tank tops, and sweatshirts.
Today however I went shopping with my sister and mom for my maid of honour dress for my sister's wedding. After trying on, oh...40 dresses!, I finally found the one. My sister had pretty strict criterias which is why it took quite a bit of sampling before finding the jewel. Royal blue, satin or taffeta, and a little bit of bling. Problem, I'm not much of a bling kind of person, not all dresses come in royal blue and I would've preferred chiffon. But...I'm not the bride. In the end, I found a royal blue satin dress with minimal bling and a cut that I favour. I can't wait to show you guys. September will be it's debut. One word...deep V back. WOW!!!
I'm curious to know you're bridesmaid or maid of honour horror stories and dresses. SHARE!!
In the meantime, here's my dress up shopping outfit. Love the salmon colour of this gorgeous blouse. Thank you to Justyna from Chicshop for sending me this beautiful shirt along with a stunning pleated skirt which you will be seeing shortly.
FYI, stay updated on my blog as a giveaway to Chicshop is coming soon :)

those are some fab shoes youve got there! xo
Can't wait to see your dress! I love royal blue! On a similar note, I was wondering if I could ask you for some bridesmaid advice...The bride has selected my dress (Davids Bridal 83312 in Tangerine) as well as jewellery (dainty silver necklace and earrings, I think). So, I was planning on a statement bracelet or 2. Any suggestions?
@ Naomi: What a pretty dress and I can just imagine how beautiful it'll be in tangerine. I really feel you should stick to simple jewelry seeing as the dress is very girly. You don't want to over power it with statement pieces. If you must wear a bracelet, I would say a simple tennis bracelet will do the trick.
Lena xoxo
