my feet are smiling

12.01.2010

A few weeks back, I wrote this post about how badly I've been craving a basic pointy toe stiletto and couldn't find any nice ones anywhere. Thanks to an awesome reader of mine who linked me back to this site, I now own a pair of the best Christian Louboutin "Pigalle" knock-offs out there. They're friggin gorgeous and the toe cleavage caused by the sexy side scoop...love it!!!
I just find they're a little high and very hard to walk with but I'm assuming it's due to the extra 25lbs I'm carrying out in front which causes me to loose my balance as I teeter on these heels :)

These look fab. Loving some of the handbags and shoes in ioffer - was always worried that I'd order and they would never show though.

I think I may just have to invest in a pair... I'll maybe stay to the seller you linked to, just to be on the safe side xx

Oh ok, u got me, I didn't read what u wrote. So you are well aware that they are fake and still bought them... Hmm ok

Lena Antonacci said...

@ Liquor store: Do you have a problem with people owning fakes of any kind?
Despite the fact that I have a great job that makes the original shoes affordable, I unfortunately have priorities in my life where having to spend $600 on shoes instead of those priorities is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when I can get great fakes for $500less.
A lot of people out there own something fake...I just have the balls to admit it :)

I don't have a problem with you personnaly, I follow and love your blog and your style. I'm sorry if you took my comments in a bad way. My first comment was just to let u know they were fake in case u didnt know.
I do have a pb with FAKE items indeed. I mean it is quite ironic to quote mister louboutin on some fake shoes... If you really liked this model you could have bought a cheaper version but not with the brand's name on it.... Anyway it's not m'y business! Your choice not mine, I was just expressing my opinion, that's why comments are made for. I'm sorry next Time I'll just write "I love your blog, you look great"

@ Liquor store: These comments are getting out of control. You are absolutely correct on the fact that people should be able to express their opinion in the comment box. My motto has always been "I'd rather you be honest than be nice."
I have actually been looking everywhere for an insane amount of time for a basic pump that fit just as sexy as the "Pigalle's". No one out there had a pair that fit & looked like the originals. So I had no problem in buying the replicas. If they make me happy...why not?

Hi Lena.. I'm glad the purchase worked out for you! The shoes look fabulous! I'm still on the hunt for a 'miss big foot' size 41 (LOL). Wish me luck... Enjoy!

It's so funny, I just picked out a pair of stilettos yesterday at Aldo (see my blog) They don't look as good as yours but I can't complain since I didn't cost me anything :)

Lena, good for you! It's great that there are fashion blogs out there that don't treat $600 purchases as dirt cheap and $2,000 handbags as necessary and anyone with knockoffs or less than premium brands as worthless(looking at you Bag Snob). So what, I could buy one or two designer items a year, but that is stupid. I'd rather spend that money going out with friends, getting a mani pedi when work gets crazy... etc.
As far as the knockoff ethics, who cares? Those designers are ultra millionaires, I don't feel bad for them. And when they talk about "lost" sales to fakes, they are delusional. Mos people buying fakes cannot afford their hyper inflated products.

You look so adorable! Love the first photo so much! Who cares if they are fakes! I think I bought a fake Chanel bag at a thrift shop for $18, but it looks so freaking real! I don't really care, whatever real or not if it is a good quality purchase that is all that matters! I mean even for a fake Chanel they sell for like $300, so real or not it was a good buy! As for your wonderful new shoes! They look awesome on you and you obviously love your purchase and that is what matters the most! Especially since you are going to have a gorgeous baby coming into the world... I would most likely want to buy all of the cute baby stuff I could find, if I were you!

Love, Megan

I love them. They are absolutely awesome! The look like the real thing! I bought REAL Louboutins for my friend for her wedding and I gotta say that I was disapointed in them...and for myself I would rather buy the fakes if they look as good as yours...no inflated price for probably the same quality. I am sick of designers taking advantage of people and would rather support someone else quite frankly:)
