lens needed

9.08.2010

It's a few months now that I have the Nikon D3000 in my hands and I'm loving it. However I am due and ready to purchase a new lens. I currently have the one that came in the package which is the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR Lens.
At the moment, I only have a budget for one lens therefore I would like your input on which is the best one to get and why.

The first is to know what kind of picture would you be taking.

maybe because you already have a Len that cover two angles, wide and regular and you only have money for one you should buy a 50-200 ( this one would be more practical for you, because you can go out with that one and make regular angles photos like the ones that you already make with the one that you own but also have a great zoom ) or 70- 300 ( this one is a telephoto and would be very specific photos that you would be making with this one )

* sorry my english, and I hope this helps

Hi Lena,we have the same camera and a professional photographer told me to get a 50 mm F1.8 or F1.4 lens. Or even better: F1.2. Hope this helps! I'm asking for a new lens for Christmas : )
