First outfit of 2014. All black eerthang!...hope this isn't a sign of things to come in the New Year :S

What's your first outfit in 2014?

Nothing compliments neutral colours with other neutral colours. Wearing head to toe white makes a strong impression, especially in winter and after labour day. A few tips on pulling off this monochromatic trend:

1. Play around with the textures. I paired my white jeans with a cream heavy knit sweater.

2. If you're afraid of all white, try colour blocking. I added some classic black heels and a camel blazer. 

3. And I can't stress enough on how confidence is key to any awesome outfit :)

I'm still not over the "overall" trend as you can see. Took them out for a spin with this outfit, which I paired with a super comfy casual sweater. Sweater is fully lined with plush soft fabric, perfect to keep you warm during the colder months. I'm also a sucker for raglan sleeve :)

MIA for the past couple of days. But I have a good reason I swear. I would never abandon you guys :)

My husband was away on a business trip and I was at home sick with two kids that were sick as well. This mama just needed a little bit of rest. While I'm still treating a sinus infection, everyone else is doing great. I know this pales in comparison to what other people are going through out there so I'm just going to quit complaining and head straight to my outfit.

I'm sure all of you have seen and drooled over this sweater by Stella McCartney, which is now on sale at $720.00. However if you want to save a few dollars, may I suggest getting this similar one that I'm wearing for only $15.29.
