One of the most versatile of all footwear, the most recognizable of all footwear, the most iconic shoe which has been around for over 100 years...THE CONVERSE!! They fit into every lifestyle and have donned the feet of many far and wide. They come in a variety of heights, colours, heel heights, prints, etc. However my love for the classic white rubber sole and toe guard will never be empowered.

Polka dots never go out of fashion. It's as classic as the LBD (little black dress). They're fun and flirty and can be worn at any age.

It's after labor day and I'm wearing full on white. So sue me!! Who invented this rule anyway?

 

Wearing white in the summer makes sense. Desert peoples have known for thousands of years that white clothing seems to keep you a little bit cooler than other colors. But wearing white only during the summer? While no one is completely sure exactly when or why this fashion rule came into effect, our best guess is that it had to do with snobbery in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

When and why did we stop wearing headbands?

Mainly known as a "bad-hair style dodge" or a "for little girls only" accessory but it can actually bring a little je ne sais quoi to an outfit. In my case, it was just easier to keep my bangs out of my face with a headband rather than a bobby-pin. Therefore this headband wearing girl was just trying to cop-out of a bad dirty hair day :)
