Cut-off love

7.08.2010

I finally found my perfect denim cut-offs!!!While Andrew was at the dentist, instead of waiting in the lobby filled with old non-fashionable magazines I decided to walk to a nearby vintage shop. Good move me. I found a pair of 725 originals jeans in the color I've been searching for...size 11. (I'm usually a 2.) I wanted the perfect loose worn-in fit cut-offs. Price...$4.99. Who can resist. Brought them home, cut them to my desired length, washed them and voila! One down off my wish-list. I absolutely love them and I apologize in advance if I wear them often in my future posts.
During my shopping trip I also purchased the Ramones tee I'm wearing. In the men's section, size small, $2.99. I cut-off the sleeves.
All in all I think it was a successful shopping trip :)

Fresh

7.05.2010

Our entire day yesterday was basically, Fresh!
Andrew and I paid a visit to the Jean-Talon Market. It's an outdoor farmer's market with aisles and aisles full of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, cheese, flowers, bread, pastries, etc. We had to take advantage of the finally here sunny warm weather.
We then stopped by the famous St-Viateur Bagel Shop. Best bagels in town in my opinion. We grabbed 2 dozen fresh out of the oven.
Our house now smells like fresh fruit and a bakery. YUM!!

For lunch I had a delicious crepe filled with ham, eggs, & Swiss cheese.

Andrew on the other hand ate a much bigger meal, rice, vegetables, chicken and shrimp.

Last stop at the market, sorbet in a cone. Strawberry and lemon sorbet. Refreshing!

Charlie & Lee

7.01.2010

A new store has just opened up and I have to share it with all of you.
Charlie & Lee is a women's clothing store located in Victoria B.C. Canada on Wharf street...but for all of us who aren't so lucky to visit the actual store, they also have a website which includes an on-line store. WOO HOO! Such great pieces, I wish I had the cash to buy it all. American Retro, Happy Socks, Kova & T, and Rebecca Minkoff are just a few from a long list of worldwide independant labels they carry.
They were kind enough to give one of my lucky readers a 25% discount on any item in the store. All you need to do is:
  1. Be a follower of Charlie & Lee on at least one of the following. Blog, Facebook, or Twitter.
  2. Let us know what your favorite piece of clothing/accesory is from their store.
  3. Leave your name and e-mail address in order to be able to contact you if you are the lucky winner.
Winner will be chosen at random.
Contest will end on July 18th.  Contest has ended. Thank you to all who participated.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!
