She wants her nails painted black

3.24.2010

I came home to an amazing surprise last night. In my mailbox was a box that contained 4 beautifully colored bottles of nail polish from Nails Inc. Thank you so much to the gorgeous Sandra over at 5 inch and up. You should all check out her blog. Her outfits & photos are extremely inspirational. I wouldn't mind raiding her closet either...lol
I'm looking forward to my next mani/pedi :)

Looking rather...

3.23.2010

You'll have to excuse my ugliness in these pictures. I had just gotten back home from the gym and was a bit exhausted and...sweaty! Yes I said it, sweaty! Big deal. I'm not one of those girls that looks like they're ready to go clubbing after a session at the gym. I work hard hence I sweat hard.
Anyway, my apologies...lol

Sugar Shack

3.21.2010

We celebrated my mom's birthday yesterday having brunch at the Sugar Shack. Scrambled eggs, pea soup, potatoes, ham, pancakes, sugar pie and of course "oreilles de crisse", a traditional Quebec dish that consists of deep fried smoked pork jowls. I'm not a big fan as I find it way too salty. I did eat everything else though :) And you can't leave the sugar shack without having maple taffy on a stick. YUMMY!!! Boiling maple sap which then becomes maple syrup is poured over clean snow. It then thickens and you twist it on a popsicle stick ready to be eaten. I look forward to this time of year just to eat this.
It was a great day to spend the first day of Spring.

The ceiling of the sugar shack was adorned with leaves, branches and lights.

Army of me

3.20.2010

Getting into the army trend again. Completely forgot about these cargo pants that I had purchased at Zara a while back. Extremely comfortable and a little beat up. I wore them constantly when I first bought them that I guess I just got fed up of them. Well today is the day that they have risen again! I'll take it easy on them now before they start falling apart at the seams.
