festival fashion

7.29.2014

Coachella in the US is like Osheaga in Canada. It stands as the largest music and arts festival of its kind in Canada.
For it's ninth edition, Osheaga promises fans an unforgettable festival experience with an ultra cool musical line-up such as Outkast, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, Foster The People, Haim, and so so much more.
Unfortunately I totally wish I could go this weekend and if I were to go, this is such a "me" festival fashion outfit.
What would you wear?

Osheaga

jeans: J Brand
top: Stylemoi
sandals: Tamara Mellon
sunnies: Amazon
bag: Raj
choker necklace: Etsy

long hair vs short hair - which is sexier?

4.25.2014

I have a hairdresser appointment this coming Sunday and yes, I'm still debating cutting my hair into a long bob. Not because I don't think it'll look good but only because I'm not used to it. I find comfort in my hair. Is that weird?
During a conversation I was having with a friend of mine, about my hair course, I mean are there really other more important topics to talk about? Just kidding!! not really Anyway, she said something that resonated with me. "Don't cut your hair short. Long hair is more 'bombshell'."

Is it really? How so?

Is it because longer tresses are the epitome of femininity? Are men not comfortable with their sexuality to find a woman with short attractive? Or are they just jealous because they are follicly challenged.

Looking back at all the paintings of goddesses' etc., they all have long flowy locks, therefore making long hair more traditional. So does chopping it all off make you more in with the modern times? Does it make you appear more confident and powerful which in turn makes most some men feel inferior?

In my opinion, all this doesn't matter. A woman should wear her hair how she wants and the way that makes her feel beautiful. Simple as that!

At the end of the day, it's not the hair that makes the bombshell, it's the bombshell that makes the hair!

nightstand decor

4.15.2014

What's the first thing I look at when walking into a bedroom? The bed or bedding to be exact. The second thing...the bedside table décor.
Mine consists of your basic alarm clock, lamp and a photo frame of the hubs and I. Blah beyond belief. We are now in the middle of a total home do over and now that the kids rooms are complete, I am tackling our master bedroom. I've gotten as far as new bed sheets, alarm clock and some books.
Before and after pictures to hopefully come soon :)
In the meantime, here are a few inspirational photos that I keep referencing during this makeover.

The 90's street style aesthetic is back in a big way and The Simpsons has lots of new culture-defining products that introduce bart Simpson and family to the younger generation in trendy items such as varsity jackets, tees, snapbacks, and fanny packs. What started with a unique, celebrity-obsessed collaboration with Jeremy Scott and showcase at Fashion Week, has erupted into an entire fashion streetwear empire with exciting trendsetting collaborations to celebrate the iconic show's 25th anniversary of the longest running scripted show in television history.
